Summary: Tennessee Titans are a professional team in the American National Football League (NFL) located in Nashville, Tennessee.
The team has since its inception when it was called Houston Oilers, was a well respected team throughout the entire NFL (formerly the AFL) but recently found it difficult to maintain this high level.
When the salary cap was introduced in the NFL in 2003 it took Titan's hard. Titan failed to get them to the finals next 4 years, but this broke 2007/2008 when they qualify as number 6 in the AFC.
Tennessee Titans was founded in 1960.
The team was originally named Houston Oilers (1960-96), then after moving the current name is Tennessee Oilers from 1999.
The home arena is LP Field, with a capacity of 67 000 spectators inaugurated 1999.
